Job summary

Sutherland Shire Council in NSW seeks a Skilled Crew Member to join the Civil Works & Presentation team. You will support maintenance and construction of roads, footpaths and stormwater assets, carrying out concrete and asphalt works, excavation, traffic management and surveying.

About the role

Working as part of a skilled crew, you'll assist with the maintenance and construction of Council assets, including roads, footpaths and stormwater infrastructure. Duties include concrete and asphalt works, excavation, traffic management, surveying, and operating a range of tools and equipment.

What you'll bring

Essential:

• Current Class C Driver Licence
• White Card
• Experience in civil construction or a similar industry
• Concrete finishing and/or asphalt experience
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork

Desirable:

• MR Driver Licence
• Certificate II in Civil Construction
• First Aid, Traffic Control or Confined Space tickets
• Experience in bricklaying, pipelaying or surveying

• Hours of work: Working 38 hours per week. On a 9 day fortnight.
