Job summary

Goulburn Mulwaree Council is seeking two Labourers to join the Maintenance team in Canberra to support capital works and ongoing maintenance programs, performing site preparation, concrete and road works, traffic control setup, signage installation, erosion control and small plant operation.

These outdoor, hands-on roles offer variety and the opportunity to contribute to the community with a supportive team and opportunities for development within the Council.

Qualifications

  • Two Labourer roles in the Maintenance team.
  • Outdoor manual work experience is beneficial.
  • Ability to operate basic plant and equipment as required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve community infrastructure as part of the Maintenance team.
  • Support capital works and ongoing maintenance programs.
  • Perform site preparation, concrete and road work, traffic control setup, signage installation, erosion control, and operate small plant.

Join our team and play a key role in maintaining and improving our community’s infrastructure.

Council is seeking two motivated and reliable Labourers to join our Maintenance team, supporting both capital works and ongoing maintenance programs. These hands‑on roles offer a broad variety of work, including site preparation, concrete and road construction, traffic control setup, signage installation, erosion control, and the operation of small plant and equipment.

YOUR WORKING ENVIRONMENT (for eligible employees)
  • A weekly rate of $1,165 with progression up to $1,311 dependent upon skills and experience, plus 12% superannuation
  • Work a 9‑day fortnight, based on a 38‑hour working week
  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements under Council’s Flex First Procedure including access to an individualised hours agreement
  • Access to 2 weeks sick leave per year, cumulative where unused
  • Access to 1‑week MyLeave per year, to be utilised for any purpose
  • Access to long service leave after 5 years of employment
