Job summary

Bellequip is seeking Skilled Civil Operators for Grader, Dozer, and Excavator with GPS/UTS capabilities. Roles involve 9 days on, 5 off FIFO to Central Queensland projects. Multi-skilled operators and local Rockhampton candidates are preferred.

FIFO or relocation packages may be offered for the right candidates. Experience in road construction, bulk earthworks and drainage, plus Trimble GPS exposure, will be highly regarded.

Qualifications

• 2+ years performing similar role on civil (road and drainage projects).
• Road Authority project experience.
• 2+ years Trimble GPS experience (UTS for graders) (ability to perform day to day functions including set up).

Responsibilities

• Operate grader, dozer and excavator with GPS guidance and manage work flow.
• Lead and coordinate direct staff within the work group to meet project timelines.
• Interpret plans and specifications; set out and execute works per drawings.
• Ensure quality, safety, environmental compliance and overall efficiency of operations.

Skilled Civil Operators - Grader, Dozer, Excavator (GPS/UTS), Road Rollers

DIDO/ FIFO - Central Queensland projects (9 days on and 5 days off),

As an experienced Civil Operator, you will be a key member in the efficient execution of civil site works.

Candidates experienced in road construction project delivery with;

• Grader (GPS/UTS),
• Dozer (GPS) and
• Excavator (GPS)

Holding multi-skilled capabilities highly regarded.

HC truck license for floating of own equipment highly regarded.

Also looking for Combo operators, water truck and roller operators with traffic control TMI license.

Skills and experience

Key desirable skills for this role will be experience and knowledge.

Experience and understanding of road construction, bulk earthworks and drainage construction processes would be considered highly desirable.

Excavator, Dozer, Grader operators -having the ability to lead and manage direct staff within work group to ensure jobs are completed in the allocated time to the satisfaction of the company and client.

Experienced in interpreting plans and specifications, setting out and executing works.

Practical real world experience/ knowledge and ability to apply real world solutions to construction problems with a methodical approach.

Ability to work with the team to deliver upon project and business requirements and objectives, including;

• Quality (meet specifications, QA docs and contract requirements),
• Safety (contribute to a safe work environment whilst complying with company and client systems),
• Environmental (compliance with company and client systems),
• Efficiency (ensuring efficient work processes are undertaken),
• Training (coaching and teaching fellow team members to increase the team's capabilities).

Have a methodical and organized approach to work (ability to see the finished product, and perform the task efficiently).
