Job summary

Seek is seeking Civil Plant Operators for the Rockhampton region to operate GPS-enabled machinery across bulk earthworks, haul roads and hard stands. Rosters are 6 days on, 1 off, with on-site accommodation.

Local operators in Rockhampton or Gladstone may stay at camp and enjoy weekend time off. This role requires a valid drivers licence, comfort with remote conditions, and a strong health and safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Substantial GPS experience with earthmoving machinery.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Comfortable working in remote/camp environments.
• Health and safety focused mindset.
• Must pass pre-employment functional fitness test.
• Must pass drug and alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate GPS-enabled excavators, dozers, graders, rollers, or dump trucks as required.
• Work as part of an experienced civil construction crew on bulk earthworks.
• Adhere to site rosters and camp living arrangements.
• Maintain safety standards and report hazards promptly.

• Operating GPS-equipped machinery on large-scale bulk earthworks, constructing haul roads & hard stands.
• Working within an experienced civil construction team.
• 6 days on, 1 day off - MONDAY TO SATURDAY (SUNDAY OFF) - local operators
• Rosters - 6/1, 2/1, 3/1, 4/1, 5/1
• Accomdation provided - Gym, Pool & Restaurant.
• If local to Rockhampton or Gladstone, stay at camp and check out each weekend!

Skills & Experience required:

• Substantial experience using GPS on machinery highly regarded
• Drivers Licence
• Happy with remote conditions and works
• Health & Safety focused mindset
• Ability to pass a pre-employment functional fitness test
• Pass a drug & alcohol screening
