Job summary

QLD Complete Contracting Services – Gladstone QLD is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our local team on major civil and maintenance projects. You will perform excavation, earthworks, pipe installation and drainage tasks, while upholding safety and quality standards on site.

These roles offer stable, long-term employment with an ongoing 5:2 roster and frequent opportunities across Queensland's largest industrial sites.

Qualifications

• RIIs/tickets and equipment competencies for excavators, skid steers, loaders.
• Experience on civil or mining projects.
• White/Blue Card and driver's licence.
• Pass pre-employment medical and random drug & alcohol screening.
• High-performance team mindset with integrity and results.
• Current HR/High-Risk Work Licence or inductions (QAL/BSL/Yarwun) highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Roadworks: Complete excavation and earthworks for road construction projects.
• Pipe Installation: Support trenching and installation of underground services.
• Structure Excavation: Excavation for concrete structures and civil infrastructure.
• Earthworks: Cut and fill, bulk earthworks and site preparation.
• Drainage & Dams: Assist with drainage, water infrastructure and dam construction works.
• Safe Operations: Operate plant safely while maintaining quality and productivity standards.

About the Roles

We are looking for reliable professionals to join our local project team. You will be responsible for executing high-quality civil works, ensuring project-readiness, and maintaining the high standards QCCS is known for across Central Queensland. Including the following Operator tasks:

What We Are Looking For

We value people who take pride in their work, value safety, and have a sharp eye for technical accuracy.

Ideally, you will have:

• Relevant RIIs/tickets and equipment competencies (Excavators, Skid Steers & Loaders etc.)
• Previous experience on civil or mining projects.
• A White/Blue Card and current Driver’s Licence.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and ongoing random drug & alcohol screening.
• A focus on integrity, results, and a "can-do" attitude that fits a high-performance team environment.
