Job summary

Akwika Plant Hire is seeking a reliable operator to service our quality clients across South-East Queensland, focusing on footings, piers, sand-ups, site cleans and landscaping. The role requires safe, accurate skid steer operation on civil projects and a keen eye for quality workmanship.

Skills and Experience:

Proven experience operating skid steers in the construction or civil engineering environment.

Candidates with any amount of experience in construction or civil engineering environment will be considered.

Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating skid steers is required.

Australian work rights are essential for this position (citizens and permanent residents only).

Experience operating either skid steers or excavators is sufficient for this role.

Valid driver's license and relevant machinery operating certifications/licenses (e.g., White Card, excavator operator and skid-steer tickets).

Strong understanding of equipment operation principles and safety procedures.

Ability to interpret construction plans and specifications.

Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
