Job summary

GrainCorp is seeking a hands-on supervisor to lead a grain-handling team at one of our receival sites in Queensland. You will help plan and coordinate grain receivals and out-loads, support the Site Manager, and foster strong relationships with growers and customers to ensure safe, efficient operations.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and community engagement, with on-going training and parental leave benefits. A current driver’s licence is required as part of pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a team at a grain receival/warehousing site.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to undertake pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of grain handlers to keep site running safely and efficiently.
• Assist Site Manager and Area Manager with planning, resourcing receivals and out-loading during peak periods.
• Manage grain receivals and outloads in a safe, efficient manner.
• Develop and maintain relationships with growers and customers; stay aware of local priorities.

This role contributes by:

• Supervising a team of grain handlers ensuring the site runs safely and efficiently


• Assisting the Site Manager and Area Manager in planning, resourcing receivables and out-loading of grain during both normal and peak season periods


• Managing the grain receivals and outload in safe and efficient manner.


• Developing and maintaining business relationships, specifically with growers and customers; and maintain awareness of local priorities and issues.


• Developing & maintaining effective Grower group/s and dealing closely with internal and external customers
