Job summary

GrainCorp in Condobolin is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to lead a seasonal workforce and support grain receival, storage and outload operations. You will coordinate daily workflow, assist budgeting and KPI targets, and build strong relationships with growers and internal stakeholders.

The role involves planning maintenance, safety and quality activities, and overseeing multiple sites during peak harvest periods. This is a full-time position with a focus on safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a large seasonal workforce.
• Ability to coordinate daily team workflow.
• Ability to support site budgeting and KPI targets.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside Grain Handler team to deliver a safe and effective service for grain receival, storage and outload via road and rail.
• Coordinate day-to-day workflow and support recruitment, training and development of permanent and casual staff.
• Develop and maintain relationships with growers, customers, local communities and internal stakeholders.
• Assist Site Manager with budgeting, financial planning and achieving site targets (e.g. $/tonne targets, road haulage KPIs).
• Support resource planning for grain receival/outload during peak and off-peak periods.
• Plan and execute scheduled and ad-hoc maintenance, grain protection, safety and quality activities and reporting.
• Supervise a large seasonal workforce during harvest intake across multiple sites.

Role: Assistant Site Manager
Location: Condobolin
Salary: package of up to $105K incl. Super (Remote Allowance + Rental Allowance + Bonus)

This role contributes by:

• Working alongside a team of Grain Handler undertaking grain handling activities to deliver a safe and effective service in the receival, storage and outload of grain via road and rail.
• Coordinating day-to-day workflow of the team and support to attract, select, train, and develop permanent and casual team members
• Developing and maintaining relationships with growers, customers, local community groups and internal stakeholders
• Assisting the Site Manager to implement and review site budget, participate in site financial planning, and to achieve site targets (e.g., $/tonne targets, road haulage rates, receival/outload KPIs)
• Supporting the resource planning for grain receival / outload activity during peak and off-peak periods
• Supporting the planning and execution of scheduled and ad-hoc maintenance, grain protection, safety and quality activities and related reporting
• Supervising a large seasonal workforce during our busy harvest intake periods, including at multiple sites.
