Job summary

GrainCorp is seeking an Assistant Site Manager in Condobolin to lead a Grain Handling team at receival, storage and outload hubs. You will support budgeting, target achievement, and day-to-day operations, while building strong relationships with growers, customers and internal teams.

This role requires coordinating resources during peak harvests, supervising seasonal staff, and driving safety, quality and reporting initiatives across the site.

Qualifications

• Management experience in a sites/farm/industrial environment.
• Ability to plan and monitor budgets and KPIs.
• Strong communication with growers, customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day workflow of Grain Handling team at receival, storage and outload sites.
• Support site budgeting and financial planning; help achieve KPIs like $/tonne and haulage rates.
• Develop relationships with growers, customers and internal stakeholders for smooth operations.
• Assist Site Manager with resource planning during peak periods and schedule maintenance and safety checks.
• Supervise a large seasonal workforce across busy harvest periods at multiple sites.

Job description

Role: Assistant Site Manager
Location: Condobolin
Salary: package of up to $105K incl. Super (Remote Allowance + Rental Allowance + Bonus)

• Working alongside a team of Grain Handler undertaking grain handling activities to deliver a safe and effective service in the receival, storage and outload of grain via road and rail.
• Coordinating day-to-day workflow of the team and support to attract, select, train, and develop permanent and casual team members
• Developing and maintaining relationships with growers, customers, local community groups and internal stakeholders
• Assisting the Site Manager to implement and review site budget, participate in site financial planning, and to achieve site targets (e.g., $/tonne targets, road haulage rates, receival/outload KPIs)
• Supporting the resource planning for grain receival / outload activity during peak and off-peak periods
• Supporting the planning and execution of scheduled and ad-hoc maintenance, grain protection, safety and quality activities and related reporting
• Supervising a large seasonal workforce during our busy harvest intake periods, including at multiple sites.
