Job summary

Pembrook Homes is seeking an Experienced Site Supervisor to oversee multi-unit developments in Melbourne. You will report to the Construction Manager and coordinate resources, timelines, and costs to deliver projects on budget and on time.

The role requires 5–7 years in project management on multi-unit builds, a trade qualification if possible, and proficiency with blueprints, Microsoft Office, and cost control in a fast-paced environment. Permanent Australian residency is required.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of project management experience in multi-unit developments.
• Trade qualification is preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer software.
• Solid construction knowledge and cost control abilities.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Permanent Australian resident.

Responsibilities

• Plan resources and trades needed to complete the project.
• Review permits, approvals, and regulatory prerequisites.
• Manage costs to meet and reduce budget/estimation.
• Provide direction and support to contractors and subcontractors.
• Manage construction schedule using Builder Trend.
• Issue progress updates on costs and timelines to Managing Directors.
• Ensure work complies with building and safety codes.
• Develop strong subcontractor and supplier relationships.
• Work with Construction Manager and report directly to them.
• Keep project sites safe and clean at all times.
• Display relevant signage on the project.
• Represent Pembrook Homes professionally with clients, suppliers, and agents.
• Deliver and handover the project on budget and on time with defects completed.

Our continual growth has presented an excellent opportunity for an Experienced Site Supervisor to join the team. The role encompasses responsibility for all key Project Manager responsibilities including resource planning, timeline deliverables and cost management.

The Successful Candidate will be an integral member of the construction team and report directly to the Construction Manager

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

• Efficiently plan resources and trades needed to complete the project.


• Review all necessary permits, approvals, and other regulatory prerequisites.


• Manage costs in order to meet and reduce budget/estimation.


• Provide direction and support to contractors and subcontractors.


• Manage construction schedule and activities using builder trend.


• Issue progress updates as needed regarding costs and timelines via builder trend and weekly meetings to Managing Directors


• Ensure work is done in compliance with all relevant building and safety codes.


• Manage and develop strong subcontractor and supplier relationships.


• Work with and report directly to the Construction Manager


• Ensure the project sites are kept safe and clean at all times.


• Ensure all relevant signage is displayed on the project.


• Represent Pembrook homes in a professional manner in all interactions with clients, suppliers, contractors, council representatives, sub-contractors, tenants, real-estate agents and the Pembrook homes team.


• Deliver and handover the project on Budget and on Time with all defects completed.

Skills & Experience

The Successful Applicant will have the following skills:

• Ideally trade qualified.


• 5-7 years of experience in project management in Multi Unit developments.


• Comfortable reading and understanding blueprints and drawings.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer software


• Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles


• Ability to schedule, and control costs.


• Strong leadership, organisation and management skills


• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, Outlook.


• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.


• Must be a permanent Australian resident.
