Icon Group is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor in Canberra to support a major education project valued at $80M+. The role focuses on external works, landscaping, civil interfaces, finishes and project completion activities to ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Site Supervisor or Foreman in commercial construction.
• Experience managing projects valued at $50M+.
• Experience delivering external works, landscaping, civil interfaces or project completion stages.
• Relevant trade or tertiary qualification in Construction Management highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily site activities across external works and landscaping packages.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel to achieve project milestones.
• Monitor project progress and ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to specification.
• Oversee quality assurance, inspections, defects management and completion activities.
• Coordinate finishes, commissioning and handover requirements where required.
• Maintain site records, reports and daily diaries.
• Work closely with the project team to ensure program and budget objectives are achieved.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• Identify and proactively resolve site issues and construction challenges.
• Provide leadership and support to site teams and subcontractors.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join our Canberra team, supporting the delivery of a major education project valued at $80M+.

This role will have a strong focus on external works, landscaping, civil interfaces, finishes and project completion activities, ensuring quality outcomes are achieved safely, on time and to program. You will work closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager, subcontractors and consultants to coordinate site operations and drive successful project delivery.

About You

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Site Supervisor or Foreman role within commercial construction
• Experience managing projects valued at $50M+
• Demonstrated experience delivering external works, landscaping, civil interfaces or project completion stages
• Education, health or government project experience highly regarded
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, sequencing and site coordination
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and construction documentation
• Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
• Strong leadership, planning and problem-solving abilities
• Relevant trade qualification or tertiary qualification in Construction Management highly regarded
