Job summary

Icon Group in Canberra is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to lead external works and landscaping on a major education project, coordinating with the project team to deliver quality outcomes on time and safely.

You will oversee subcontractors, monitor progress, ensure compliance with drawings and specifications, and drive project completion with a focus on safety and efficiency. This role offers career growth within a leading Australian construction company.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience as Site Supervisor or Foreman in commercial construction
  • Projects valued at $50M+ experience
  • External works, landscaping, civil interfaces or project completion delivery
  • Education/health or government project experience highly regarded
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing and site coordination
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and construction documents
  • WH&S understanding
  • Strong leadership, planning and problem-solving abilities
  • Relevant trade qualification or tertiary qualification in Construction Management valued

Responsibilities

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join our Canberra team, supporting the delivery of a major education project valued at $80M+.

This role will have a strong focus on external works, landscaping, civil interfaces, finishes and project completion activities, ensuring quality outcomes are achieved safely, on time and to program. You will work closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager, subcontractors and consultants to coordinate site operations and drive successful project delivery.

About You
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Site Supervisor or Foreman role within commercial construction
  • Experience managing projects valued at $50M+
  • Demonstrated experience delivering external works, landscaping, civil interfaces or project completion stages
  • Education, health or government project experience highly regarded
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, sequencing and site coordination
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and construction documentation
  • Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
  • Strong leadership, planning and problem-solving abilities
  • Relevant trade qualification or tertiary qualification in Construction Management highly regarded
