Job summary

MMD Recruitment is partnering with a reputable renewable energy contractor delivering major energy projects in Gladstone, Queensland. We are seeking hands-on Site Engineers and Project Engineers for an immediate start on a contract basis.

This is a FIFO role on a 10:4 roster from Brisbane, with LAHFA allowance, site vehicle and accommodation provided. You will be part of the site delivery team, working across civil and FRP scopes, coordinating subcontractors, inspecting works and ensuring

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Structural Engineering.
• Hands-on, site‑based experience on civil/infrastructure or energy projects.
• FRP experience is essential for this role.
• Electrical and mechanical experience are desirable.
• Good understanding of Australian construction standards and site safety requirements.
• Able to work a FIFO 10:4 roster from Brisbane.
• Available for an immediate start.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate civil and FRP construction on site.
• Supervise subcontractors, trades and site crews.
• Review drawings, specifications and method statements; resolve issues on site.
• Carry out inspections, quality checks and ITP sign-offs.
• Track progress against programme and report to the Project Manager.
• Assist with procurement, materials and plant coordination.
• Support safety on site and ensure compliance with HSE requirements.
• Maintain site records, documentation and as-built information.

Job Summary

MMD Recruitment is partnering with a reputable renewable energy contractor delivering major energy projects in Gladstone, Queensland. We are seeking hands‑on Site Engineers and Project Engineers for an immediate start on a contract basis. This is a FIFO role on a 10:4 roster from Brisbane, with LAHFA, site vehicle and accommodation all provided.

About the Role

You will be part of the site delivery team on a large‑scale renewable energy project, working across civil and FRP scopes of work. These are practical, on‑the‑tools engineering roles. You will be out on site every day, supporting the construction team, coordinating subcontractors and making sure works are delivered safely, on time and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

• Day‑to‑day coordination of civil and FRP construction works on site
• Supervise and support subcontractors, trades and site crews
• Review drawings, specifications and method statements, and resolve technical issues on site
• Carry out inspections, quality checks and ITP sign‑offs
• Track progress against programme and report to the Project Manager
• Assist with procurement, materials and plant coordination
• Support safety on site and ensure compliance with project HSE requirements
• Maintain site records, documentation and as‑built information

Skills & Experience

• Tertiary qualification in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Structural Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• Proven site‑based experience on civil, infrastructure or energy projects
• Hands‑on, practical approach – comfortable being on the tools and out on site
• Civil and FRP experience is essential
• Electrical and mechanical experience is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of Australian construction standards and site safety requirements
• Able to work a FIFO 10:4 roster from Brisbane
• Available for an immediate start
