Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Site Foreman / Site Manager.
• Experience working on commercial construction projects in Sydney.
• Strong leadership and site management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Word and Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors.
• Understanding of WHS and quality requirements.

Job description

There is currently an exciting opportunity for an experienced Site Manager / Foreman to join our Sydney team and work on some of Australia’s most important and high-profile buildings.

Our company specialises in commercial restoration, façade cladding, remedial works and renovation projects, with projects across Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Hobart and Perth.

Our WHS management system is a rigorous safety management system and one of the highest standards in the Australian construction industry.

Due to continued expansion, we are looking to strengthen our Sydney team. This is a site-based role suited to someone who enjoys working in a team environment while taking a high level of responsibility for the successful delivery of projects.

About the Role

You will be involved in the project from site establishment through to completion, managing the full project life cycle. Your responsibilities will include:

Managing and coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors

Day-to-day site management and project coordination

Maintaining and enforcing WHS requirements

Quality assurance and quality control

Project programming and scheduling

Managing variations and assisting with commercial negotiations

Coordinating subcontractors and suppliers

Monitoring project progress, quality and safety

Working closely with the Project Manager and senior management

Ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard

Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel, are essential, along with the ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions on site.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

Minimum 3 years' experience as a Site Foreman / Site Manager

Experience working on commercial construction projects in Sydney

Strong leadership and site management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong computer skills, including Word and Excel

The ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors

A strong understanding of WHS and quality requirements

The ability to work independently and take ownership of projects

A strong and consistent work history

Good professional references

Experience in façade cladding, commercial restoration, remedial construction or renovation projects will be highly regarded.
