Site Supervisor - $60M CBD Heavy Refurbishment

An opportunity has become available for an ambitious Site Supervisor to join the delivery team on a technically challenging, high-end $60 million CBD refurbishment.

The Role and Project

Reporting to the Senior Site Manager, you will initially take responsibility for a defined area of the project, with your remit expanding as you settle into the team.

The facility comprises two buildings, including a significant heritage component. This is an exceptionally high end project involving heavy refurbishment, complex logistics and challenging CBD conditions. Given the client, location and nature of the build, it is likely to become an award-winning project and one you will be proud to put your name to.

The business is open minded about project size and is looking for someone who can be developed within the role. Major project experience is therefore not essential. A genuine passion for building, a proactive attitude and a willingness to learn will be far more important.

The project was negotiated through an ECI process, and the company Director has partnered with this repeat client for more than a decade. The business does not win work solely on price, nor does it rely on contractual disputes or squeezing subcontractors. Relationships, quality and the long-term outcome of the project take priority.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally demonstrate:

Experience working on commercial construction projects in Australia.

A genuine desire to learn, develop and progress with one business.

Experience delivering refurbishment projects within a CBD environment, regardless of project size, which would be highly advantageous.

The ability to work collaboratively and recognise that individual success depends on the support of the broader project team.

Experience contributing to commercial projects from commencement through to completion.

Strong references from previous employers and project leaders.

A trade background in carpentry would be highly regarded but is not essential.

Previous experience as both a tradesperson and Site Supervisor would also be advantageous.
