Job summary

Innovatus Projects is seeking a Site Manager to lead day-to-day construction activities, supervise subcontractors, and coordinate site logistics to ensure safe, efficient progress aligned with the approved program, drawings, and quality requirements.

You will work closely with the Project Manager, act as the key link between the delivery plan and on-ground work, maintain accurate site diaries and Procore records, and drive practical completion with a high-quality handover.

Qualifications

• Site Manager experience in commercial construction.

• White Card and valid driver licence.

Job description

As Site Manager, you will lead day-to-day construction activities, supervise subcontractors and coordinate site logistics so work progresses safely, efficiently and in line with the approved program, drawings, specifications and quality requirements. You will work closely with the Project Manager and act as the key link between the delivery plan and work on the ground.

Key responsibilities

Lead daily site operations and directly supervise subcontractors, suppliers and site activities.

Implement site-specific WHS, environmental and industrial-relations requirements, including inspections, audits and corrective actions.

Conduct and document inductions, pre-start meetings, toolbox talks and daily site coordination.

Review SWMS and subcontractor compliance documentation before work starts; identify hazards, assess risk and stop or quarantine unsafe work where required.

Coordinate deliveries, access, sequencing, labour, plant and site logistics to maintain program momentum.

Maintain accurate site diaries, daily reports, records, photos, registers, drawings and defect tracking in company systems, including Procore where applicable.

Inspect work, materials, plant and equipment for compliance with drawings, specifications, legislation, standards, codes and quality requirements.

Work with the Project Manager on look-ahead planning, sequencing, schedule changes, RFIs, variations and early escalation of risks or delays.

Maintain a clean, secure and professional site, with work areas ready for the next shift and compliant PPE requirements enforced.

Drive practical completion, final walks, prompt defect rectification and a high-quality handover.

About you

Demonstrated Site Manager experience delivering commercial construction, refurbishment, fit-out or live-environment projects.

Strong working knowledge of WHS obligations, site safety plans, SWMS, quality assurance, ITPs, defects and construction documentation.

A calm, visible leadership style with the confidence to hold trades accountable and resolve site issues constructively.

Sound programming, logistics and sequencing skills, with a disciplined approach to records and timely reporting.

Clear communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams.

Confidence using digital project and document-management systems; Procore experience is desirable.

Current construction induction card (White Card) and a valid driver licence.

Current First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it promptly.

Capacity to travel, work away from home and support remote projects when required.

$150,000 base salary plus superannuation.
