Job summary

SHAPE Sydney is seeking an experienced Site Manager for a night-shift role on a major Sydney data centre project. You will lead day-to-day on-site activity, coordinate the project team and subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality and timely delivery from mobilisation through handover.

You will bring at least five years in the industry, two years in site management for commercial fitout, and strong knowledge of programmes, drawings and buildability.

Qualifications

• At least five years’ industry experience, including two years in site management within commercial fitout.
• Experience delivering projects valued from $700,000 to $5 million and above.
• Strong knowledge of construction programmes, specifications, drawings and buildability.
• Demonstrated commitment to Environment, Health, Safety and Quality principles.
• A current Construction Industry Card and confidence using project delivery systems and Microsoft applications.
• A collaborative leadership style, with the ability to build positive subcontractor and client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site activities in line with our safety, quality and delivery systems
• Establish and maintain a safe site environment, including inductions, inspections and risk controls
• Coordinate subcontractors, site meetings, programmes, deliveries and daily site activity
• Review specifications and drawings to support accurate, buildable delivery
• Maintain clear project records and update progress through our project delivery system
• Manage quality, defects and close-out activities to support a successful handover
