Job summary

SHAPE Tasmania is seeking a Senior Site Manager to lead on-site delivery across diverse projects in Hobart and Launceston. You will ensure safety, quality and alignment with programme, budget and client expectations while working closely with Project Managers, subcontractors and clients.

You will oversee safety, environmental and quality compliance, coordinate daily site activities, and develop construction programmes with the Project Manager to deliver reliable outcomes and strong relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering commercial projects valued from $5 million or more.
• Strong understanding of construction programmes, specifications and drawings.
• Collaborative approach building strong client and subcontractor relationships.
• Proactive mindset with pride in quality delivery and best-practice site safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead site safety, environmental and quality requirements on each project.
• Review subcontractor safe work method statements and conduct site inductions.
• Coordinate day-to-day site activities, subcontractor works and site meetings.
• Develop and manage short- and long-term construction programmes with the Project Manager.
• Monitor workmanship, manage defects and ensure quality requirements are met.
• Maintain project records, site diaries, risk controls and delivery system compliance.

You’ll play a key role in:

As a Senior Site Manager, you’ll lead on-site delivery across a diverse range of projects, ensuring work is completed safely, to a high standard and in line with programme, budget and client expectations. You’ll work closely with Project Managers, subcontractors and clients to create reliable outcomes and strong relationships.
