Job summary

SHAPE Australia is seeking a Site Manager for a landmark data centre project in Sydney. You will lead day-to-day site activity, coordinate people, programme, quality and safety, from mobilisation to handover.

Bring at least five years' industry experience including two years in site management within commercial fitout; familiarity with programmes, drawings, buildability, and a collaborative leadership style. The role is on-site with a focus on delivering quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in construction, including two years in site management.
• Experience delivering commercial fitout projects valued from $0.7m to $5m+.
• Strong knowledge of construction programmes, drawings and buildability.
• Commitment to Environment, Health, Safety and Quality principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site activities in line with safety, quality and delivery systems.
• Establish a safe site environment with inductions, inspections and risk controls.
• Coordinate subcontractors, meetings, programmes, deliveries and daily site activity.
• Review specifications and drawings to support buildable delivery.
• Maintain project records and update progress in the project delivery system.
• Manage quality, defects and close-out activities for handover.

You’ll play a key role in

As a Site Manager, you’ll lead day-to-day site activity and coordinate the people, programme, quality and safety outcomes that keep our large-scale landmark data centre project moving. You’ll work closely with the Project Manager, clients and subcontractors to deliver a well-managed project from mobilisation through to handover

Key responsibilities:

• Lead all on-site activities in line with our safety, quality and delivery systems
• Establish and maintain a safe site environment, including inductions, inspections and risk controls
• Coordinate subcontractors, site meetings, programmes, deliveries and daily site activity
• Review specifications and drawings to support accurate, buildable delivery
• Maintain clear project records and update progress through our project delivery system
• Manage quality, defects and close-out activities to support a successful handover

What you’ll bring:

You are an experienced Site Manager who takes pride in running an organised, safe and high-performing site. You bring a practical understanding of commercial fitout delivery, communicate clearly with a range of project stakeholders and remain solutions-focused when priorities shift.

• At least five years’ industry experience, including two years in site management within commercial fitout
• Experience delivering projects valued from $700,000 to $5 million and above
• Strong knowledge of construction programmes, specifications, drawings and buildability
• Demonstrated commitment to Environment, Health, Safety and Quality principles
• A current Construction Industry Card and confidence using project delivery systems and Microsoft applications
• A collaborative leadership style, with the ability to build positive subcontractor and client relationships
