Sense Projects is seeking a Brisbane-based Site Manager to lead commercial fit-out and refurbishment on live projects. You will coordinate trades, manage programs, and maintain site safety, quality and presentation while working with clients, consultants and owners.

Qualifications

• White Card plus First Aid and Cert IV WHS or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to manage construction programs and coordinate multiple trades to meet milestones.

Site Manager, Commercial Fitout & Refurbishment

Sense Projects is an independent Australian construction management company. Since 2006 we’ve delivered projects across workplace, healthcare, education, hospitality and retail, with the vast majority of our work coming from repeat clients. We’ve been delivering in Brisbane for two years and are qualified to deliver Queensland Government projects.

We’re looking for a Brisbane-based Site Manager who takes safety, quality and site presentation seriously, and who enjoys running a tidy, well-organised site where trades know exactly what’s expected of them.

What you'll be doing:

Managing day-to-day site operations, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring efficient delivery of commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects.

Proactively managing and driving construction programs, coordinating trade sequencing, resources and key milestones to achieve project deadlines.

Building and maintaining strong working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, consultants and building owners.

Leading and coordinating subcontractors, setting clear expectations, maintaining accountability and fostering a positive, collaborative site environment.

Proactively identifying and managing construction risks, potential delays, design issues and opportunities for improved project delivery.

Maintaining high standards of workmanship, quality control, site presentation and defect management throughout construction.

Leading onsite WHSE compliance, including inductions, toolbox talks, site inspections, risk assessments and safe work practices.

Implementing and maintaining Sense's Integrated Management System (IMS), including our ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified management systems.

Working closely with the Project Manager to communicate progress, resolve issues, manage project priorities and coordinate key inspections, commissioning and handover requirements.

What you'll bring:

Proven experience as a Site Manager or Site Foreman delivering commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects in Queensland.

White Card (General Construction Induction), plus First Aid and Construction Supervisor / Cert IV WHS (or willingness to obtain).

Demonstrated ability to manage construction programs, coordinate multiple trades and drive projects to meet key milestones and deadlines.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, clients and building stakeholders.

A proactive, solutions-focused mindset, with the ability to anticipate challenges, identify risks and opportunities, and resolve onsite issues effectively.

Experience working in live, occupied buildings, including managing staged works, and competing stakeholder requirements.

Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously, take ownership and hold subcontractors accountable.

A systems-minded approach, with a genuine commitment to safety, quality, accurate documentation and continuous improvement.

Nice to have:

experience with Procore and BuildPass, or confidence picking up site management and digital induction software quickly.
