Job summary

Morson Edge Australia is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Brisbane team, overseeing commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects from planning through to completion. The role focuses on delivering quality outcomes for clients and involves close collaboration with the internal design and delivery team, clients, consultants and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Brisbane team, delivering commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects typically valued between $500k-$3m. You will take ownership of projects from planning through to completion, working closely with the internal design and delivery team, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

Key Duties

• Develop and manage construction programs and procurement schedules
• Manage the procurement of materials and subcontractors in conjunction with the project team
• Ensure projects are delivered in full compliance with WHS requirements
• Develop and maintain project quality plans and ensure required standards are maintained
• Attend and lead weekly site and project meetings
• Prepare regular project reports and provide formal project updates
• Manage client, consultant and subcontractor relationships throughout the project lifecycle
• Identify and resolve project issues, risks and challenges as they arise
• Maintain strong attention to detail across project delivery, documentation and reporting

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years' experience as a Project Manager within the fit-out and refurbishment industry
• Proven experience delivering commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects, ideally in the $500k–$5M range
• Experience across Commercial, Retail or Hospitality projects
• Tertiary qualification in Building, Construction or Engineering, or a relevant trade qualification with further industry education
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Dynamic, passionate and team-oriented approach
• Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
• Strong attention to detail and a practical approach to problem-solving
