Job summary

Ora Banda Mining is seeking a Service Infrastructure Tradesperson to maintain and repair site facilities, infrastructure and utilities at our Western Australian operations. This role involves hands-on tradeswork across accommodation, kitchens, offices and workshops, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

You will perform inspections, preventative maintenance, plumbing, electrical and equipment upkeep, and support other departments as needed in a dynamic mining setting.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised trade qualification (preferably Refrigeration Technician or Electrician) or equivalent.
• 2 years handy person activities experience.
• Mining NPI work history.
• Poly welding certification (desirable).
• St Johns Senior First Aid certificate (desirable).
• Pronto skills.
• Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence.
• Working at Heights and Confined Space Ticketed.
• Awareness of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and audit site infrastructure, including accommodation, offices, kitchens and communal facilities.
• Perform general building maintenance, repairs and preventive maintenance across site facilities.
• Complete plumbing maintenance including leak repairs and minor pipework upgrades.
• Maintain and repair commercial kitchen equipment and site amenities.
• Carry out gardening, grounds maintenance and reticulation system repairs.
• Operate and maintain the Reverse Osmosis water treatment plant.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Raise, prioritise and manage maintenance work orders in the Pronto system.
• Plan maintenance activities and estimate material requirements.
• Maintain workshop tools, equipment and spare parts inventory.
• Promote high housekeeping standards and continuous improvement.
• Complete JHAs, pre-start checks and site inspections per safety rules.
• Collaborate with maintenance team and support other departments.
• Perform work safely, professionally and efficiently with minimal disruption.
• Undertake other maintenance and infrastructure duties as required.
