Job summary

Thiess is seeking a hands-on Trade Assistant for the QCoal Northern Hub project in Queensland. You will contribute to keeping site infrastructure, workshops, grounds and facilities safe, clean and well-presented, while supporting maintenance tasks and minor civil works.

Qualifications

• Commitment to safety and positive workplace culture.
• Experience as Trade Assistant, maintenance or construction-related role.
• Open cut mining environment experience is highly desirable.
• Current Driver's Licence and Standard 11 certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform grounds maintenance including slashing, whipper snipping, weed control and bunding upkeep.
• Maintain workshops, facilities and site infrastructure through cleaning, repairs and signage upkeep.
• Carry out minor building maintenance and civil works such as concreting, road repairs, sump cleaning and water treatment plant inspections.
