Job summary

Employer Sponsored Jobs in Canberra seeks a capable and experienced Site Engineer to join its expanding project team. You will play a key role in delivering structural concrete and civil infrastructure works alongside project managers, supervisors and major contractors.

The successful candidate will own engineering and quality requirements on site, interpret drawings, manage ITPs and QA records, and coordinate technical queries with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Australian experience as a Site Engineer on structural concrete or civil infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated understanding of construction QA systems and ITP-based delivery.
• Ability to interpret structural drawings and construction documentation.
• White Card and current driver's licence required.

Responsibilities

• Takeresponsibilityforengineeringactivitiesandtechnicalcoordinationacrossassignedconstructionworks
• ManagesitequalityrequirementsandensureconstructionactivitiescomplywithapprovedITPsandprojectspecifications
• Prepareandmaintaininspectionrecords,lotdocumentation,conformancerecordsandhandoverdocumentation
• Monitorholdpoints,witnesspointsandqualityinspectionsthroughoutprojectdelivery
• Identify,recordandassistwithclosingoutnon-conformancesandtechnicalissues
• Reviewstructuraldrawings,specificationsandconstructiondocumentationbeforeandduringsiteactivities
• PrepareRFIsandcoordinatetechnicalquerieswithrelevantprojectstakeholders
• Supportconstructionteamswithsitesetout,reinforcementinspectionsandconcretepourpreparation
• Monitorprojectprogressagainstconstructionprogramsandagreedmilestones
• Identifypotentialprogramdelaysandcommunicateissuestotheprojectmanagementteam
• Coordinatematerials,plantandconstructionconsumablesinlinewithprojectrequirements
• Attendsiteinspections,progressmeetingsandcoordinationdiscussionswithclientsandcontractors
• Providepracticalengineeringguidancetosupervisorsandconstructioncrews
• Assistwithreinforcementscheduling,procurement,fixingsupervisionandqualitycompliance
• Supportsiteteamsinmaintainingworkplacehealth,safetyandenvironmentalrequirements
• Maintainaccurateprojectrecordsandengineeringdocumentation
• Workcollaborativelywithprojectmanagement,supervisionteams,contractorsandconstructioncrews
• Contributetoefficientprojectdeliveryandsuccessfulcompletionofassignedworks
