Kilcomer Group Pty Ltd in Canberra seeks a Site Engineer to own delivery on major ACT infrastructure projects. You will drive QA, review drawings, and coordinate field activities to keep the program on track.

Requirements include 2+ years in site engineering on concrete works, a Civil/Structural Eng degree, and strong documentation skills. Relocation support and visa sponsorship are available in a small, hands-on team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience as Site Engineer on structural concrete projects in Australia.
• Tertiary qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent site experience).
• Strong QA/ITP-driven delivery discipline.
• Confident reading of structural drawings and specifications.
• Strong written communication; documentation focus.
• White Card and valid driver’s licence; ACT inductions possible.

Responsibilities

• Full QA management including ITPs, hold and witness points, NCR close-out.
• Attend site walks, progress meetings with clients/head contractors.
• Maintain and update construction program; track milestones and flag slippage.
• Order and coordinate site materials, plant and consumables.
• Support setout, reinforcement checks, pour prep, daily deliveries.
• Review drawings, raise RFIs, manage technical queries to resolution.
• Contribute to site safety and environmental compliance.

About us

Kilcomer Group is a specialist structural concrete and labour hire contractor delivering works for tier-1 and tier-2 builders across QLD, NSW, ACT and SA. We self-perform the technical end of civil construction — formwork, reinforcement and structural concrete on bridges, dams and water infrastructure — and we're known for turning up with the right people and the right paperwork.

Our Canberra workload is growing off the back of bridge renewal works, and we're looking for a Site Engineer to take ownership of delivery on the ground.

The role

• Full QA management: ITPs, hold and witness points, lot documentation, conformance records, NCR close-out and final handover packs
• Attend site walks, inspections and progress meetings with clients and head contractors, and represent Kilcomer's position on technical matters
• Maintain and update the construction program, tracking actual progress against milestones and flagging slippage early
• Order and coordinate site materials, plant and consumables to suit the program
• Support the site team on setout, reinforcement checks, pour preparation and daily delivery
• Review drawings and specifications, raise RFIs, and manage technical queries through to resolution
• Contribute to site safety and environmental compliance alongside the supervision team

About you

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Site Engineer on structural concrete projects in Australia
• Tertiary qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering, or equivalent site-based experience
• Solid grounding in QA systems and ITP-driven delivery
• Confident reading structural drawings and specifications
• Strong written communication — a significant part of this role is documentation
• White Card and current driver's licence, comfortable working on active civil sites
• Ability to obtain relevant ACT site inductions and site access clearances

Highly regarded

• Dam, spillway or water infrastructure works
• Reinforcement management — scheduling, ordering, fixing supervision and conformance
• Experience working as a subcontractor to tier-1 or tier-2 head contractors
