Job summary

FGI Developments is seeking a Site Engineer in Cairns, Australia, to support safe, on-time, and on-budget project delivery. You will work under senior engineers, coordinating site activities, planning, and execution while developing technical and professional skills.

The role requires an Engineering degree, 2–5 years of relevant experience, and the ability to read drawings. You will use MS Project and AutoCAD, with MS Office support, and pass security checks as required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (accredited by Engineers Australia).
• 2-5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Exposure to civil, defence, or infrastructure projects (desirable).
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
• Good proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Project and AutoCAD).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Fit for work and able to pass medical and drug & alcohol testing.
• National Criminal History Check clearance (or willingness to obtain).
• Eligible to obtain Defence Common Access Card (DCAC).

Responsibilities

• Planning and scheduling works to minimise stakeholder impact.
• Oversee day-to-day engineering activities on site.
• Ensure project delivery meets quality, safety, cost, and time objectives.
• Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and internal departments.
• Monitor progress and complete project reporting.
• Maintain accurate site records and documentation.
