Job summary

ACCIONA CONSTRUCTION AUSTRALIA PTY LTD is seeking a Site Engineer – Civil for the Central-West Orana REZ Transmission Project in New South Wales. You will design, plan, and oversee civil works for 500kV/330kV transmission infrastructure, with rostering in a camp-style, 14 days on/7 days off arrangement.

You will support the Project Engineer, manage schedules, ensure HS&E compliance, and coordinate with subcontractors to deliver on time and within budget across energy hubs and substations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience constructing outdoor air insulated substations and 220kV+ substations preferred.
• Tier 1 contractor experience on large projects is a plus.
• 1–3 years post-graduate construction/engineering experience desirable.
• Proven ability to work with others and deliver plans on time.
• Knowledge of HS&E requirements and site safety practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality and environmental standards on site are met.
• Record non-conformances and initiate corrective actions.
• Close out defects as per program requirements.
• Prepare Inspection Test Reports and checklists per contract.
• Assist with construction planning and scheduling with Project Engineer.
• Maintain project schedule and coordinate activities.
• Assist with status reports and change orders.
• Plan daily works and support cost planning meetings.
• Coordinate resource allocation and foster teamwork.
• Track subcontractor resources and document daily progress.
