Job summary

ACCIONA is seeking a Site Engineer – Civil for the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project. You will contribute to design, build, and maintain high‑voltage infrastructure, supporting energy hubs and substations with a focus on safety and quality.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, 1–3 years post‑graduate experience, and prior Tier 1 contractor exposure. You’ll work on a roster with 14 days on site and 7 days off, in a camp setting, ensuring delivery on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience delivering outdoor air insulated substations and 220kV+.
• Tier 1 contractor background preferred on large projects.
• 1–3 years post-graduate construction/engineering experience.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to plan and steward delivery work plans.
• Ensure regulatory requirements are satisfied.
• Knowledge of HS&E requirements and implementation.
• Strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality and environmental standards for the project.
• Record non-conformances and initiate corrective actions promptly.
• Close defects in line with the program schedule.
• Prepare Inspection Test Reports and related checklists.
• Support material/resource planning for the project.
• Assist with construction planning documents and progress monitoring.
• Maintain project schedule and coordinate activities.
• Assist with status reports and change orders.
• Assess progress daily and plan daily cost discussions.
• Ensure contract requirements are met at crew level.
• Coordinate resources and foster teamwork toward objectives.
• Track subcontractor resources and record accurately.
• Prepare cost/resource plans for daily meetings.
