Job summary

Unify Recruitment is seeking a Site Engineer for a TfNSW project on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. You will support the project engineer and deliver civil works, while coordinating subcontractors, carrying out site inspections and ensuring compliance with design requirements.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree with 3+ years in civil construction and experience on government infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years post-graduate experience in civil construction or major infrastructure.
• Experience on TfNSW, RMS or other major government infrastructure projects is highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, quality processes and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Engineer with day-to-day delivery of civil and infrastructure works.

• Manage RFIs, technical queries, ITPs, SWMS and quality documentation.

Site Engineer | TFNSW Project | Northern Beaches

A leading Tier 1 contractor is currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join their project team delivering a major Transport for NSW (TfNSW) infrastructure project in Sydney's Northern Beaches.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Engineer looking to work on a high-profile government infrastructure project, gaining exposure to complex civil construction, stakeholder management and large-scale project delivery.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Engineer and working closely with the wider project delivery team, you will be responsible for supporting the safe, efficient and successful delivery of works across the project.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Project Engineer with day-to-day delivery of civil and infrastructure works.


• Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and site activities.


• Undertaking site inspections and ensuring works are completed in accordance with project specifications and design requirements.


• Managing RFIs, technical queries, ITPs, SWMS and quality documentation.


• Reviewing drawings, specifications and construction methodologies.


• Assisting with procurement, subcontractor management and commercial administration.


• Monitoring project progress, quantities and productivity.


• Working closely with supervisors, engineers, surveyors and project management to resolve construction issues.


• Maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and environmental requirements.


• Liaising with TfNSW representatives, consultants and other project stakeholders.

About You

• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.


• 3+ years post grad experience within civil construction or major infrastructure.


• Experience working on TfNSW, RMS or other major government infrastructure projects is highly regarded.


• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, quality processes and project documentation.


• Excellent communication and subcontractor management skills.


• The ability to work autonomously while operating effectively within a large project team.


• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
