Job summary

Contec Recruitment on the Gold Coast seeks a Site/Project Engineer to coordinate site activities on high-rise residential projects, working with Site and Project Managers to monitor progress and resolve on-site issues.

This role offers autonomy within a collaborative team, exposure to the full construction lifecycle from pre-construction through handover, and opportunities to contribute to landmark developments across Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil, Structural Engineering or Construction Management.
• Experience as a Site or Project Engineer on commercial or multi-residential projects.
• Strong technical knowledge and ability to interpret construction documentation.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive attitude with a genuine desire to develop your career.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the day-to-day coordination of site activities to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard.
• Work closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager to monitor construction progress and resolve on-site issues.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and consultants to maintain productivity and programme milestones.
• Review drawings and specifications, managing RFIs, shop drawings and technical queries.
• Inspect works to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and Australian Standards.
• Compile and maintain quality documentation and site records.
• Monitor quality assurance processes and project compliance.
• Assist with short-term programming, site planning and construction sequencing.
• Support procurement, material scheduling and subcontractor coordination.
