Job summary

Thiess is seeking a Site Engineer for the Eva Copper Mine Project in the Cloncurry region of Queensland, Australia. You will design civil components for permanent and temporary works and liaise with Senior Engineers to clarify design requirements.

Qualifications

1–2 years of experience in civil construction projects, preferably tailings storage facilities and/or mining environments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities.
Excellent organisational and planning skills.
Current Australian driver’s licence and White Card required.

Responsibilities

Design civil construction components for permanent and temporary works.
Liaise with Senior Engineers to improve processes and clarify design requirements.
Ensure civil operations are executed efficiently and cost-effectively.
Report progress, non-compliance, and delays to Construction Manager.
Conduct site inspections to assess compliance and identify improvements.
Monitor hazards and assist with safety audits.
Oversee daily quality control procedures and cost/schedule adherence.
