Job summary

Thiess is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor for the Eva Copper Mine Project in North West Queensland. You will oversee site surveillance, manage subcontractors and lead safety and quality on multi-discipline works.

The role requires strong leadership, risk management, and ability to coordinate crews to meet milestones within a challenging mining environment. Join a collaborative Alliance with Harmony and contribute to sustainable mining operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in a similar role with a tier 1 or 2 construction company.
• Comprehensive understanding of OHS legislation and regulations, safety standards, and contractual requirements.
• White Card holder.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular job site inspections to assess performance and compliance with project standards.
• Actively monitor the work environment for hazards and address risks promptly.
• Supervising external multi-discipline Subcontractors and Suppliers (civil, mechanical, structural, electrical).
• Liaising with the Senior Project Engineer and Construction Manager.
• Coordinate with clients/subcontractors to ensure work aligns with drawings, specs and schedules.
• Prepare and deliver pre-starts and toolbox talks.
• Manage supply and delivery of materials, plant and equipment.
• Ensure works meet contract and Australian standards.
• Provide daily progress reports and address non-compliance or delays.
• Assist with contract management tasks and tendering contributions.
• Implement technical and safety requirements; foster continuous improvement.
