Job summary

Thiess is recruiting a Drill and Blast Supervisor for the Eva Copper Mine Project in the Cloncurry region. You will oversee open-pit blasting operations, coordinate patterns and explosive handling, and drive operational excellence with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

You will lead a dynamic team on a 14/14 roster, with camp accommodation and FIFO options from Brisbane or Townsville. Join us to develop skills вnd contribute to a major mining operation in North West Queensland.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in drill and blast supervision in open-cut hard-rock environments.
• Proven leadership and people management abilities.
• Solid understanding of drill patterns, blasting techniques and regulatory requirements.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise and make decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily drill and blast plans ensuring safety and production.
• Oversee explosive management and regulatory compliance.
• Lead the drilling team and coach operators.
• Attend production and stakeholder meetings.
