Job summary

UGL and CPB Contractors are seeking an Environmental Advisor for the HumeLink West project in NSW. The role is site-based with a 10:4 FIFO roster and focuses on regulatory compliance and sustainability for a major 500kV transmission initiative.

Responsibilities include developing and delivering environmental guidance, auditing the Construction Environmental Management Plan, providing technical training, and supporting the Environment Manager with deliverables and sub-contractor

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in relevant environmental roles in civil construction.
• Strong understanding of NSW Environmental Legislation and codes.
• Ability to review and interpret project documents, standards and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement initiatives that position the project as an environmental leader.
• Audit, amend and implement the Construction Environmental Management Plan.
• Provide timely technical advice, training and assistance to the project team.
• Support the Environment Manager in reviewing design deliverables and work packages.
• Assist with sub-contractor scope developments and pre-qualifications.
• Maintain positive relationships with client representatives and senior management.
