Job summary

UGL is delivering a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in regional western Queensland, seeking an Environmental Advisor to support site-wide compliance and continuous improvement. You will work closely with project managers and subcontractors to embed environmental plans and promote responsible practices on site.

Qualifications

• Experience as an onsite Environmental Advisor in energy or infrastructure.
• Degree in Environmental Science or related field.
• Experience with environmental compliance across large-scale renewable projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day environmental support across construction activities.
• Embed and maintain environmental management plans and documentation.
• Conduct site inspections and environmental monitoring to identify risks.
• Assist with environmental incidents and corrective actions.
• Engage with project teams to promote environmental awareness and continuous improvement.
