Job summary

Seek is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician for a permanent full-time role at a commercial office building in South West Sydney. The successful candidate will respond to daily reactive maintenance requests, perform general repairs, and help keep the building presented to a high standard.

This single-site position offers stability, a Monday‑to‑Friday schedule, and support from a Facilities Manager and specialist contractors.

Qualifications

• Experience as maintenance technician or tradesperson in commercial properties.
• Ability to undertake a broad range of minor repairs.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Respond to daily reactive maintenance requests within the building.
• Carry out general building repairs and maintenance.
• Undertake minor carpentry and repair works.
• Complete door, lock, hinge and hardware repairs.
• Undertake patching and minor painting.
• Repair and replace fixtures and fittings.
• Complete minor plumbing-related maintenance where a licensed plumber is not required.
• Undertake furniture, shelving and general equipment repairs.
• Complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks.
• Proactively identify defects before they develop into larger issues.
• Assist and coordinate specialist contractors attending the building.
• Monitor outstanding maintenance items through to completion.
• Maintain tools, equipment and maintenance/storage areas.
• Complete digital work orders including photographs and job notes.
• Report significant defects, safety concerns and required capital works to the Facilities Manager.
• Assist with maintaining the overall presentation and condition of the office building.
