Job summary

Derrinallum P-12 College in the rural Western District of Victoria is seeking passionate classroom teachers. The role focuses on planning, preparing and delivering engaging programs to achieve targeted student outcomes across Foundation to Year 12.

Experienced staff mentor new teachers and contribute to school priorities. Teachers may undertake additional duties in line with their salary range, qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including literacy and numeracy.
• Ability to plan high impact teaching strategies and assess learning growth.
• Experience using data to inform teaching and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with students, parents and staff.
• Commitment to reflective practice and ongoing professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individual students.
• Contribute to curriculum development and program evaluation within the school.
• Undertake other duties as directed, aligned with salary range and qualifications.
• Lead and participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, and school activities.
• Engage in activities such as camps and excursions as required.
