Qualifications

• SC1: Knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to integrate literacy and numeracy teaching; respond to student learning needs.
• SC2: Experience planning and implementing high impact teaching strategies and evaluating impact on growth.
• SC3: Experience monitoring and assessing student learning and using data to inform teaching and give feedback to students and parents.
• SC4: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; builds collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the school community.
• SC5: Aligns with Department values; reflects on practice and pursues ongoing professional learning to improve teaching.
• SC6: Ability to communicate with adults and students using Auslan.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individuals and contribute to curriculum development.
• Develop, implement and evaluate learning programs aligned to student outcomes.
• Participate in non-teaching duties as required by the principal and school priorities.
• Engage with parents/guardians at meetings and provide progress feedback.
• Support school policies, participate in policy development and professional learning.
