Job summary

Bathurst Signs and Print in Bathurst, NSW is seeking a full-time on-site Sign Designer to create visually effective sign layouts for commercial signage, safety signs, and wayfinding graphics.

You will interpret client briefs, develop design concepts, prepare production-ready artwork, and collaborate with production staff to ensure accurate output and installation, while upholding branding consistency and safety standards across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in graphic design and layout tools (e.g., Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW) for signage.
• Experience with sign-making: vinyl cutting, large-format printing, and material prep.
• Strong visual communication: typography, color theory, and composition with precise measurements.
• Solid project management to handle multiple jobs and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Interpersonal and communication skills to interpret client requirements and collaborate.
• Knowledge of safety signage standards and compliance for commercial/industrial signs.
• Signage/print-related design experience; trade or vocational qualifications preferred.
• On-site Bathurst, NSW; ability to stand, handle materials, and assist production.
