Job description

Signart Qld Signs is seeking an experienced Signage Production & Install Lead (Signwriter) to join our team in North Lakes, QLD. This is a full-time position that offers a fantastic opportunity to lead our production and installation operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality signage solutions to our valued clients. As a leader in this role, you will oversee both the production and installation phases of signage projects, managing teams, maintaining quality standards, and driving operational excellence across all aspects of the business. This position is integral to our success and offers the chance to make a real impact on our growing organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of signage production, including design implementation, fabrication, and quality control to ensure projects meet client specifications and company standards
• Lead daily production of signage (ACM panels, lightboxes, vinyl, acrylic, etc.)
• Operating sign-making machinery and equipment used in the production and finishing of signage.
• Manage and execute on-site installations
• Conduct site surveys and measure-ups
• Supervise and mentor production/install team members
• Ensure jobs are completed on time and to high quality standards
• Coordinate with design, admin, and sales teams
• Removing and replacing existing signage where required.
• Installing signs, graphics, vinyl, panels and other signage products on-site.
• Maintain workshop organization and safety compliance

What we're looking for

• Extensive experience in signage production and/or installation, with a proven track record of leading teams in the trades and services sector
• Strong knowledge of various signage materials, production techniques, and installation methods
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate, train, and manage a diverse workforce effectively
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and design briefs
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship
• Competency in health and safety compliance, with knowledge of relevant workplace legislation and regulations
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, and team members
• A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to various job sites as required
• Experience operating CNC routing machines is an advantage but not essential. Training will be provided for the right candidate who is willing to learn CNC operation and sign manufacturing processes.

What we offer

• $80 to 100K salary (based on experience)
• $5K to $10K performance bonus
