Job summary

DIAB Engineering is seeking an experienced Site Coordinator / Superintendent to join our Western Australian shutdown team. The role focuses on supervising site execution works, ensuring shutdown safety, quality and contractual compliance, with a preference for strong knowledge of civil, structural, mechanical and piping installation.

The position is casual and based in Western Australia with FIFO from Perth to qualify; regular performance feedback, superannuation on all hours worked and

Qualifications

Proven track record in maintaining safe onsite working culture.
Ability to interpret project documents and procedures.
Experience supervising and coordinating trade teams and sub-contractors.
Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
Ability to work unsupervised and within a team.
Experience interpreting schedules with time management skills.
Familiarity with QA and interpretation of drawings and take-offs.
Strong local industry knowledge.
Proficient in MS Office and planning tools.
Ability to coach, mentor and support site trades.
Adherence to company policies onsite.

Responsibilities

Job description

The role would be most suited for an energetic and talented individual that has the ability to effectively execute site installation activities. The primary focus of the role is to supervise site execution works and ensure all shutdown safety, quality and contractual requirements are met. The ideal candidate would have a strong knowledge of civil, structural mechanical and piping installation works.

The role is offered on a casual basis and candidates must be based in Western Australia with the ability to FIFO from Perth to qualify.

Requirements

The ideal candidate must display the following:

Proven track record in maintaining and ensuring safe working culture onsite.
Ability to interpret project documentation and procedures.
Ability to effectively supervise and coordinate trade teams and sub-contractors.
Capability to work in a team environment.
Ability to supervise and coordinate support resources.
Demonstrated ability to interpret and adhere to project schedules, with excellent time management skills.
Familiarity with quality assurance and interpretation of mechanical drawings and material take-offs.
Strong local industry knowledge.
Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
Ability to coach, mentor and support site trade teams.
Ensure company policies and procedures are upheld to the highest standard onsite.
Ability to work unsupervised and within a team.
Excellent troubleshooting and work planning skills.
Knowledge and understanding of project reporting and planning.
Trade Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Fabrication Welding.
Minimum three to five years’ experience in supervisory positions for onsite project execution works in the Mining Sector
Section 26
Hold a current Working at heights and confined space ticket within 2 years of expiry.
Preferred by not essential – HR or manual C class Driver’s License
