Job summary

Barminco, part of the Perenti Group, seeks a Shotcrete Operator to support underground mining across Australia, with roles at Western Australia sites. You will apply and spray shotcrete to provide immediate ground support in line with mine plans and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has experience in underground mining and operating shotcrete spraying equipment (manual or robotic), with knowledge of safety procedures and site access requirements. FIFO/DIDO options may apply.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Shotcrete Operator in underground mining.
• Ability to operate shotcrete spraying equipment (manual or robotic).
• Knowledge of underground safety procedures, permits and exclusion zones.
• Open to tunnelling background from non-mining industries.
• Ability to meet site access requirements (Medical, DAS, NPC & valid manual driver's licence).

Responsibilities

• Operate shotcrete spraying equipment to apply ground support in underground headings.
• Prepare work areas including hydro-scaling and fibrecrete as required.
• Monitor shotcrete thickness, quality, and coverage to meet design specifications.
• Conduct pre-start checks and basic maintenance on shotcrete plant and equipment.
• Work closely with jumbo, charge-up, and service crews to maintain safe work sequences.

About our Role

Join the Barminco team as a Shotcrete Operator and support our underground mining operations across Australia, with opportunities available at sites throughout Western Australia. In this role, you’ll play a key part in applyingand sprayingshotcrete to underground headings and excavations to provide immediate ground support in line with mine plans and safety standards.

Whatwillyour day to day look like?

Operate shotcrete spraying equipment to apply ground support in underground headings.

Prepare work areas, includinghydroscalingandfibrecreteasrequired.

Monitor shotcrete thickness, quality, and coverage to meet design specifications.

Conduct pre-start checks and basic maintenance on shotcrete plant and equipment.

Our ideal candidate background includes

• Previous experience working as a Shotcrete Operator working in underground mining .
• Demonstrated ability to operate shotcrete spraying equipment (manual or robotic) .
• Knowledge of underground safety pr ocedures permits and exclusions zones .
