Job summary

Next Day Recruitment in Sydney North Shore NSW is seeking Production Assistants to support a team of trades professionals in a hands-on production environment. This is a genuine entry-to-trade / long-term pathway role with structured training provided.

You will shadow electrical and mechanical fitters, learn to read simple CAD drawings, inspect, test and wire small engineering equipment, and assist with setup and operation of machinery. 8-hour days, early starts, early finishes.

Qualifications

• Entry-to-trade / long-term pathway with structured training provided.
• No trade qualification required; structured training is provided.
• Hands-on electrical or workshop experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Shadowing and assisting electrical and mechanical fitters.
• Learn and get trained to read simple CAD drawings.
• Inspect, test, and wire small engineering equipment.
• Assisting with the setup and operation of machinery.
• Use of power tools and equipment within the production plant.
• Following a formal, structured training program.
• General workshop and production support.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area.
• Working to safety procedures and quality standards.
