Mayday Recruitment presents a permanent full-time Trade Assistant position in a large-scale heavy industrial facility across NSW. You will work with an experienced maintenance team, supporting Fitters, Boilermakers and Plumbers to keep production moving.

The role involves hands-on maintenance support, hand and power tool usage, forklift operation, and a focus on safety in a busy workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Must have White Card and be safety focused.

This established heavy industrial business plays a critical role in supporting the construction, manufacturing and infrastructure sectors across NSW. Operating a large-scale processing facility, they offer stable long-term employment within a busy operation where maintenance reliability and site support are critical to keeping production moving.

Permanent full-time role

$40.00/hr + 30% night shift loading on the first 38 hours worked each week

Additional 18 hours per week paid at 1.5x overtime

The Role

Working alongside an experienced maintenance team, you'll provide hands-on support across a large-scale heavy industrial processing facility.

Day to day you will be involved in:

• Assisting Fitters, Boilermakers and Plumbers with maintenance activities
• Using hand tools and power tools to support repair and maintenance works
• Assisting with equipment repairs, installations and project work
• Supporting preventative and breakdown maintenance activities
• Operating a forklift to move materials, components and equipment around site
• Material handling and general workshop duties
• Assisting across fixed plant and production equipment
• Maintaining a safe and organised work environment

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Trade Assistant, Mechanical TA or Maintenance Assistant
• Forklift Licence (LF) essential
• White Card essential
• Confident using hand tools and power tools
• Experience within industrial, construction, manufacturing or maintenance environments
