Redpath Mining is seeking a Shift Supervisor for the OK Mine, a full-time underground leadership role based in Western Australia. You will oversee all underground personnel during shifts, uphold safety procedures, and coordinate activities to meet production targets.

A strong focus on teamwork and compliance is essential. The ideal candidate holds a Western Australia Shiftboss Ticket with 5+ years in underground mining, a valid manual licence, and a proven safety record.

Qualifications

• Australian citizen or permanent resident.
• Western Australia Shiftboss Ticket.
• Minimum 5 years’ underground mining experience.
• Valid manual driver’s licence and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Extensive knowledge of contemporary underground mining practices, with the ability to maximise safety and productivity.

About The Role

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all underground personnel and work activities during their shift, ensuring compliance with company procedures, site policies, and relevant mining safety regulations. This role is critical in maintaining a safe, productive, and high-performing work environment, while ensuring work is completed efficiently, to a high standard, and with a strong focus on teamwork and respect.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise underground personnel to ensure safe and productive operations.
• Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments to minimise workplace risks.
• Ensure compliance with site procedures, safety policies, and statutory regulations.
• Monitor workplace inspections, pre-start checks, and equipment condition.
• Investigate and report incidents, hazards, and environmental issues promptly.
• Coordinate emergency response activities and ensure crew awareness of emergency procedures.
• Lead shift handovers and communicate mine status, priorities, and equipment requirements.
• Plan and coordinate underground activities to achieve production schedules and targets.
• Liaise with management, maintenance teams, and cross-shift supervisors to maximise productivity.
• Train, mentor, and develop team members while supporting workforce planning and leave management.
• Manage crew performance, discipline, and workplace grievances fairly and consistently.
• Attend and contribute to safety, production, planning meetings, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ underground mining experience.
• Valid manual driver’s licence and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
