Job summary

BlueScope is seeking a Shift Electrician to join the Electrical Maintenance team in Salisbury. You will provide hands-on electrical maintenance to production lines in a continuous manufacturing environment, improving machine safety, uptime, and performance to deliver world-class products.

Qualifications

• Australian Unrestricted Electrical Licence.
• Good mechanical aptitude and maintenance understanding from previous roles.
• Proven PLC fault finding and PLC programming experience, using Siemens S7, TIA and SCADA or equivalent.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a manufacturing team.

Responsibilities

• Isolate equipment and perform corrective maintenance on the machines.
• Inspect equipment and identify faults, taking necessary actions to repair these.
• Respond to and resolve machine breakdowns with a sense of urgency.
• Continually seek opportunities to improve maintenance strategies.

The Opportunity

Orrcon Steel is looking for aShift Electricianin ourElectrical Maintenance teambased inSalisbury. Orrcon Steel is a manufacturer of steel tube and pipe andleading Australian steel distributor with nationallyrecognised brands.

In this business-critical role, you will provide hands-on electrical maintenance services to our production teams who operate within a continuous manufacturing environment. Your contribution will enable improved machine safety, uptime and performance so we can continue to make and deliver our world-class product to our valued customers.

More About You

We are on the lookout for dedicated team players and being a qualified Industrial Electrician, you will bring:

• an Australian Unrestricted Electrical Licence
• a reasonable understanding of mechanical aptitudeand maintenance in previous roles
• proven experience with PLC fault finding and PLC programming, utilising Siemens S7, TIA and SCADA systems or equivalent
• the ability to work both independently and as part of a manufacturing team
