Orrcon Steel, part of BlueScope, seeks a Mechanical Shift Fitter for our Mechanical Maintenance team in Salisbury, Queensland. You will provide hands-on maintenance to production lines in a continuous manufacturing environment, helping to improve machine safety, uptime and overall performance.

Qualifikationen

• Qualified Industrial Fitter with hands-on maintenance experience.
• Experience in repair/maintenance of manufacturing equipment including machine rebuilds.

• Isolate equipment and perform corrective maintenance.
• Inspect equipment and identify faults; repair as needed.
• Respond to and resolve machine breakdowns with urgency.
• Continually seek improvements to maintenance strategies.

Orrcon Steel is looking for aMechanical Shift Fitterin ourMechanicalMaintenanceteam based inSalisbury. Orrcon Steel is a manufacturer of steel tube and pipe andleading Australian steel distributor with nationallyrecognised brands.

In this business-critical role, you will be providing hands‑on maintenance services to our production teams, who operate within a continuous manufacturing environment. Your contribution will enable improved machine safety, uptime and performance so we can continue to make and deliver our world-class product to our valued customers.

What will you do?

• isolating equipment and performing corrective maintenance on the machines
• inspecting equipment and identifying faults, taking necessary actions to repair these
• responding to and resolving machine breakdowns with a sense of urgency
• continually seeking opportunities to improve our maintenance strategies

More about you

We are on the lookout for dedicated team players and being a qualified Industrial Fitter, you will bring:

• demonstrated experience in the repair and maintenance of manufacturing equipment including machine rebuilds and improvements
• machining experience: Lathe and Milling machine
• experience in alignment of: motors, pumps, gearboxes, pulleys, belts, andchains
• experience in Hydraulic & Pneumatic circuits and components
