Job summary

Orrcon Steel is seeking a Shift Electrician in Salisbury to join the Electrical Maintenance team. You will deliver hands-on electrical maintenance in a continuous manufacturing environment to improve machine safety, uptime and performance for our steel products.

You will isolate equipment, diagnose faults, and perform corrective actions while supporting proactive maintenance. Strong PLC skills and independence are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Australian Unrestricted Electrical Licence is required.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and maintenance experience in prior roles.
• Proven PLC fault finding and PLC programming experience (Siemens S7, TIA, SCADA) or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team.

Responsibilities

• Isolate equipment and perform corrective maintenance on machines.
• Inspect equipment and identify faults; take action to repair.
• Respond to and resolve machine breakdowns with urgency.
• Continually seek opportunities to improve maintenance strategies.

The Opportunity

Orrcon Steel is looking for aShift Electricianin ourElectrical Maintenance teambased inSalisbury. Orrcon Steel is a manufacturer of steel tube and pipe andleading Australian steel distributor with nationallyrecognised brands.

In this business-critical role, you will provide hands-on electrical maintenance services to our production teams who operate within a continuous manufacturing environment. Your contribution will enable improved machine safety, uptime and performance so we can continue to make and deliver our world-class product to our valued customers.

More About You

We are on the lookout for dedicated team players and being a qualified Industrial Electrician, you will bring:

• an Australian Unrestricted Electrical Licence
• a reasonable understanding of mechanical aptitudeand maintenance in previous roles
• proven experience with PLC fault finding and PLC programming, utilising Siemens S7, TIA and SCADA systems or equivalent
• the ability to work both independently and as part of a manufacturing team
