Job summary

Bayswater Bar & Grill in Hervey Bay, QLD, is seeking a Duty Manager to support the Venue Manager with daily operations and lead the team on shifts. You will be a calm, hands-on presence, helping deliver great service while upholding safety and compliance standards.

You will open and close the venue, handle cash, and ensure standards across food & beverage, gaming, TAB and KENO. Experience supervising a busy licensed venue and coaching the team is essential; RSA and RSG qualifications are

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a busy pub, hotel, club or similar licensed venue.
• Ability to make decisions on shift and support the team.
• Experience with gaming, TAB or KENO is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts across the venue and support team members during busy service periods.
• Open and close the venue, including cash handling and end-of-shift procedures.
• Maintain standards across food and beverage, gaming, TAB and KENO; coach team members and foster a positive culture.
• Respond to guest feedback and resolve issues as they arise.
• Follow liquor, gaming, food safety and workplace safety requirements.
