Job summary

Laser Wizard Pty Ltd in Sydney seeks an experienced Draftsperson to prepare accurate production drawings, flat patterns and CAD files for sheet metal projects. You will work with Estimating, Production and clients to ensure designs are feasible for manufacture and supported by Inventor and AutoCAD drawings.

Qualifications

• Experience in sheet metal fabrication, laser cutting, bending, welding.
• Advanced/Expert level proficiency in Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of sheet metal manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed drawings for sheet metal components and assemblies using Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Communicate with clients and collaborate with internal teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
• Collaborate with the office team to ensure smooth operations and efficient workflow.
• Utilize mechanical aptitude to understand and assist with technical aspects of the production process.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of drafting processes and procedures.
• Obtain detailed insight into and assist in the pre-production process.
